R.A. Moog's modules were mostly hand built to order and as such, were extremely expensive, remaining primarily the territory of the "Music Houses" and Universities. Bob was not really a businessman, and soon sold the "boutique" Moog company on much earlier than many realise. Still, his impact on the shape of music has had a far greater impact than he ever could have imagined back in those heady days in the Sixties....

The late great Robert A Moog is charged with being the father of the synthesiser. There was obviously much more to the development of synthesis than one man's creations, but R.A. Moog's early modules certainly created a spark that ignited a flame still burning strong in this, the next century.

Such is the allure of his designs, that now some forty five years since their introduction, Moog's modules and their modern inspirations are more popular than ever.

Modular synthesis is now more widespread and accessible than ever before, just don't expect to pick up a mint original Moog for less than a new car.
