The OSCILLATOR section contains controls for waveshape, sync. and interval settings. OSCILLATOR A WAVEFORM may be Triangle, Pulse 50%, 30%, 15%, 8% (mark-space ratio) or Ramp. SYNC hard synchronizes B to A, forcing B to reset its waveform at the frequency of A, creating the characteristic 'sync lead' sound. OSCILLATOR B WAVEFORM may be selected from Triangle, Pulse 40%, 20%, 10%, 3% or again Ramp. OSCILLATOR B RANGE tunes B in relation to A and has six positions: -1 Octave, UNISON, +1 Octave, +2 Octaves, BASS and WIDE. In the BASS and WIDE positions, the pitch of OSCILLATOR B is disconnected from the Keyboard CV, PITCHBEND, MASTER TUNE and OCTAVE. Range in the BASS setting are roughly 30 to 300 Hz and 2 to 10,000Hz in WIDE. In the first four settings of the OCTAVE/RANGE switch the INTERVAL control will tune B up or down by a fifth and may be used to detune B against A for increasing the depth of a particular sound. In the BASS setting it has a range of approximately four octaves and 12 in WIDE.
