SHAPER Y may function as eiter an LFO or simple envelope generator. In FREE mode, operation is as an LFO, with the frequency set by the RATE control and the wave shape variable from falling ramp through to rising ramp. In KBD HOLD it functions as a ASR envelope with the attack and release characteristic controlled by the SHAPE knob and the RATE controlling the attack and release speed. In RESET mode the hold phase is ommitted and the contour is set by the wave SHAPE and RATE. A new trigger will reset the contour back to the start point. RUN mode is similar to this but will always complete the cycle each time a trigger is applied.
